Obsolete files and records of the Champaign County Medical Society, some dating back to the 19th Century, have been donated to the Champaign County Historical Archives where they will be indexed and made accessible for research.

The various documents and records donated include a hand-written 1878 Constitution & Bylaws, 1915 and 1938 schedule of fees, a World War II era newsletter called Sawbones, a 1919 book about the history of medicine in Champaign County, and many more documents which contain valuable historical information about the practice of medicine in the area.

The Champaign County Historical Archives is located on the second floor of the Urbana Free Library.
