CCMS Holiday Membership Meeting — December 10
ISMS President, Dr. Steven Malkin spoke about how the work of professional societies such as ISMS and CCMS impact medicine and health care delivery through their advocacy of issues of concern to practicing physicians. He also gave an update on the latest Illinois legislative news.
The Community Service Award was presented to Dr. John Moore and Dr. Don Davison for their work at the Asthma Adventure Camp. Dr. Moore and Dr. Davison have volunteered their time and skills for 25 and 23 years respectively at the camp near Fox Lake, Illinois, sponsored by the American Lung Association. Dr. Moore served as the camp’s Medical Director for many years until 2006, and continued to serve as a staff physician when Dr. Davison took over as Medical Director.
